As busy as we are with our lives, we can’t help but be affected by people who are less fortunate. Those who are struggling, those in need due to bad luck, circumstance or a twist of fate.
I believe very strongly in giving back and do so in a number of ways both Nationally and locally.
I donate a portion of every sale to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation as well as participate in numerous fundraisers organized by my peers across the country through events and conferences. I involved my kids from a young age and they have both been very hands helping this organization.
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $30 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners.y my peers across the country through events and conferences.
I have volunteered as a Dressing Consultant. Helping women feel good and confident going into a job interview is so rewarding.
Dress For Success Vancouver is a community empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs. Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help our clients find jobs and remain employed.
In the past years I have been a Volunteer for Springhouse Vancouver Emergency Shelter (The Bloom Group), and served on the Board of Directors for the Arts Club Theatre Company.
Staying connected to what is important to the culture of our City will always remain a priority for me.
